I recently sold my baby of 13 years a 1970 lemans sport and found a guy at work who was selling his sons car. His son bought the car 2 months ago and had it at pep boys for work and someone at night broke into it and caught it on fire. the drivers seat,headliner,and seat belt are trash. the back seat is good except when the headliner melted it made little plastic burns all over the back seat as it dripped,console etc. So asking price 500 bucks. needs window,and stuff above.He told me it runs good.So I go over and check it out.It was beat,dirty,glass everywere,wet rug,but all electic worked. I took it for a ride and was very suprised how fast it was. So I got back popped the hood. tuned port 350 not 305 with a modified TPIS aftermarket intake on it.Cross flag valve covers etc. SO maybe vette motor with 5 speed.oh and AC.Not sure of motor yet,have to run the numbers.So I thought I was out of the car scene for awhile then I come across this.Who could resist,I could throw a few grand at it and get my money back, and if i can prove its a 350 vette motor and maybe with luck the doug nash 4+1 I could get good money for it.So now questions...back hatch doesnt pull down so I guess off to the tech area..anyway it will be nice restoring a car that parts are plenty.Can't wait to get her back from the life doomed for the junkyard.
