Hey,
New guy here. I came from the Corvette side, but have a 94 Z28, LT1 in storage. I don't know if the Camaro group is familiar with TPIS or not, but for years they have produced some good products and technology directed towards Corvettes. For years, the ZZ9 cam was a very highly regarded product, while being emissions compatible. The ZZ409 is just an improved product over the ZZ9. It is still emissions legal as far as I know. To really make the swap worthwile, though, you'll need to open up the breathing. -Intake to exhaust. Before I was transferred out of Wiconsin in spring 2006, I was making arrangements to drop off a 93 Vette, LT1, and have TPIS rework it into a 425-450 hp fun car. From intake to exhaust.
If I were you, I would call them and discuss what you would like, and see what they suggest. Your heads only need to be improved, not replaced.
Another source of info is Lloyd Elliot.
Regardless, if this is for an LT1, consider replacing the opti and water pump at the same time, unless new.
Good luck.
