so guys, its a little down the mod road but i'm adding to my list ya kno lol.. anyway thought i'd get some nitrous advice on the lt1,
thinkin of a zex 100-150 shot, nothing "too" crazy, would this require forged internals? also need a little guidance on brands, nos,zex ...wet vs. dry etc. thanks guys!

#1 make sure you use a wet system if your going over a 50 shot on a st0ck motor. a 100-150 wet shot is safe on a stock motor no forged internals needed. you will have to knock off a few degrees of timing for 100+ hp shot also make sure you never spray under 3k and make sure you keep track of fuel pressure cause if fuel pressure drops and N2O doesnt then BOOM!but get NOS or NX they both make very good systems.ZEX and VENOM are good as well but NOS and NX are the top 2 in my opinion.

Wait wait wait... looking at an msds booklet nitrous oxide isnt flammable alone... it has to mix with the gas first correct and that in itself is pretty rare kuz that means something has to go wrong after it mixes in your intake mani no?

not much can go wrong until its in the combustion chamber neway... thats where the horror stories of burnt valves and what not happen.. but that will happen more w/ a dry system cause it doesnt have the extra fuel to go w/ the nitrous.

"Use Only Premium Grade Pump Gasoline [92+ Octane] Or Unleaded Racing Fuel
Do Not Use Aftermarket Chips Or Other Devices That Advance Ignition Timing
Performance Will Vary Depending On The Engines Condition And Configuration
Above 140 Power Level Heavy Duty Forged Components Recommended
High Output Ignition System May Benefit Performance
Free-Flowing Exhaust System May Benefit Performance
Stock Fuel Pump Should Be Adequate; But Capable Of Meeting New Pump Specs"
i checked mine and it is exactly where it should be. the only problem i have had with mine is traction. nitrous not only gives great hp gains , but the tq gains are awesome.

yea always use premium and you have to retard your timing for nitrous if your running anything over a 75 shot.. dry systems dont always spell disaster it justs has a better chance if you dont have your setup right.

alright guys, so due to the replies im a little confused, do i go wet or dry ? and i was looking at the zex 75-125 shot what exactly do i need to do for this ? why can't i spray under 3k ?

if you spray under under 3k you wont have enough fuel and youll detonate.. and for that reason also i would go wet.. a wet system adds fuel witht he nitrous so it doesnt go lean on ya.. therefore a little safer.. if you go up to a 125 shot youll need to knock off a couple degrees of timing.
