hey not to be a **** or a pain in the *** but none of them sites tell you how to time a msd disterbutor.. He bought the whole msd setup brand new. will the owner's manual tell you how to set the timing? his cars a 94 lt1 how long do you think it will take to replace this opti and put new plug wires on? were just using a jack n jack stands.. on the one tech site it said theres a lil notch or somthin that the disterbutor go's back on.. what if you are not exactly lined up? the opti wont go flush i guess agianst the timing chain cover? thanks for all the info and help guys.

 

Your friend should buy a chiltons, really. The dizzy goes on the same.

i just put that msd unit in my 93 camaro and it says in the instructions how to adjust the timing

 

ok kewl..thanks alot man.. well this should make his car run a hell of alot better.. also i wanted to ask.. i think the cat is pluged on his car also.. when ur in overdrive and u mash the gas.. it spits n spudders then go's.. and when u do it in lower gears it dosnt do it as bad.. but first were gonna fix this opti then if its still doing it i belive the cat is part of the problem also.
