Default Wobbling Harmonic Balancer -- bent crank snout?

Hi guys,

A few weeks ago I noticed that my harmonic balancer/dampener was wobbling. I checked on the forums, and found that more that likely it is just the dampener itself. I have tried 3 different brand new dampeners and 2 used ones. The wobble remained.

I replaced the hub next. I put everything back together, and the wobble remains. Should I bother trying another harmonic balancer? I did notice that each balancer I tried had a different type of wobble to them --which was odd.

I think my crank snout has been bent somehow -- I don't know how it happened, but I don't see any other possibility. Is there anything else I can try? I don't have room to tear the engine out at my apartment complex... will driving around with this wobble destroy my engine right away?

Before tearing things up, find a dial indicator and check the runout on the crank snout.

does the motor vibrate? the front of the motor is internally ballanced so the front balancer does nothing except add a little counter balance weight. is it a in and out wobble or a up and down wobble?
