I think it can be changed to work, You have to rewire it as Craby said you would also have to address the tail shaft housing or go to a remote torque arm mount. Camaro had a Camaro only tail shaft housing. I am not sure about the length of the output shaft. Long cars tend to that long output shafts to keep the drive shaft length in check.

Oh plus the whole 9 year old thing
