You put "CP9815" when in actuality its "CP9185"
Source: your pictures... I had a really hard time searching for CP9815... |
Who has a scanner that works on a 94
we have a few members with 94s that would like to know what scanner has worked for you in your 94 camaro. please help the guys out. include motor size.
|
Oh, sorry about that! Look like I messed that up on the youtube vid and the gallery as well.
|
So we got one...anyone using tuner pro with a 94? Found some of those CP9185 on ebay but they all say OBD2. Is it just another cable you have to buy for it to work with OBD1? ;Looks like a CP9145 would work as well.
|
Yes you need this cable:
The OBDII end comes off of the longer cable, attach the ALDL cable and connect the cig lighter adapter that comes with it, good to go. Take a closer look at the 1st pic of this thread and you'll see what I mean. |

OTC 3750. You can find these on E Bay, and they work good on all OBDI GM cars including Camaro up to 1994 model year, for the 1995 models an adapter cable is needed. Used one for many years.

Received my Actron CP9185 today. In less than 5 minutes I had read my codes. This thing is awesome! Got it off ebay for $125, got the OBDI connector off amazon for another @$30. The code is P032 (EGR circuit failure). I've already replaced the vacuum valve and made sure the lines were good, but still get the code. I picked up a nee EGR valve today and will install it tonight. Hope that takes care of it.This is a great thread!

Awesome.
It just so happens that this is the scanner I came across when I was in the market a few years back, glad it turned out to be somewhat of a gem. |
