Among others, in reply to this thread, I've decided to create a new thread displaying what my CP9185 will display when connected to my '94 LT1 Z28. Pictures and video speak for themselves.

Here is a link to the full album of photos:

So we got one...anyone using tuner pro with a 94? Found some of those CP9185 on ebay but they all say OBD2. Is it just another cable you have to buy for it to work with OBD1? ;Looks like a CP9145 would work as well.

AboveTheLogic Aug 18, 2012 12:18 PM

Yes you need this cable:

The OBDII end comes off of the longer cable, attach the ALDL cable and connect the cig lighter adapter that comes with it, good to go. Take a closer look at the 1st pic of this thread and you'll see what I mean.

OTC 3750. You can find these on E Bay, and they work good on all OBDI GM cars including Camaro up to 1994 model year, for the 1995 models an adapter cable is needed. Used one for many years.

Received my Actron CP9185 today. In less than 5 minutes I had read my codes. This thing is awesome! Got it off ebay for $125, got the OBDI connector off amazon for another @$30. The code is P032 (EGR circuit failure). I've already replaced the vacuum valve and made sure the lines were good, but still get the code. I picked up a nee EGR valve today and will install it tonight. Hope that takes care of it.This is a great thread!

Awesome.

It just so happens that this is the scanner I came across when I was in the market a few years back, glad it turned out to be somewhat of a gem.

Yeah, if people only knew the "uniquenesss" of thes units, they would sell for a lot more, probably. Have you ever observed or logged your EGR info? Just curious if mine is normal. The valve position just sits there kinda switching randomly between 1 and 0, whether or not the duty is 0% or 100%, not sure if the actual valve should ever be open for any length of time, seems as fast as it switches (I know this is just the PCM output to the valve) it would not have a chance to open or close seeing how it is vacuum driven.
