VIDEO0007 - YouTube

it only happens for about 20 seconds then idles great i assume the voltage is a cause of the odd idle battery is new along with all the cables and alternator the grounds are all hooked up and tight (and clean) also the coil opti plugs and wires are all new (probably irrelevant) all the sensors are hooked up (except the oil pressure switch and i think the coolant level sensor is bad because its full) the only codes i have are for the egr and the air pump (deleted)

The reason the voltage drops is because it idled down so low. I doubt thats the cause...I could be wrong.
Does the voltage go up over mid point when you rev it. It shouldnt, that would mean that the voltage is being regulated. But thats another story.
Mine did similar to this and I found 2 grounds that where not grounded, on the back of the wiring harness on the driver side.

have you checked the voltage at the battery and alternator. if its different then you have a wiring or connection issue. like said check your grounds. shbox i think has some info on ground locations.

how is the ground strap from motor to frame, by the air pump. have heard once where that unhooked made a difference. lol, dont remember what it was though.

did some looking and cluster and alt output indicator are grounded to the block by the starter. as far as i can tell cluster gets power from fuse 4. need to start checking voltage at different locations and see if theres some that vary.
