Default Used Ground Effects Kit

I'm thinking of purchasing a used ground effects kit from someone. It looks good, no cracks, came off a 1994 z28, i have 1995. Guy said he has "most" of the clips, may need to get a few more. Is it advisable to purchase or not? Selling the 4 pieces for $230. It's red, and would have to be stripped and primed. Alot of people are saying it will probably not match up correctly. Any thoughts?

Same body style and demensions(93-97) it should work fine. Sand prime and paint. Good price but check for spider cracks. You dont need to sand the paint all the way off but make sure everything is smooth and not shiny. Shiny is bad. Use a scuff pad(3m). What color is your car. Make sure you have someone spray it that can make sure you get a good color match.

i've got a ground effects/body kit on mine. i think it looks good. and it matches up alot better than some of the kits i've seen around town. the only thing is when you get it put on make sure you remember it's there. i don't know if yours will be as low as mine, but mine practically sits on the ground. so pullin into parkin spots or going up/down a hill... just makes sure you know where you are at, and dont go too fast, i've scraped mine comin out of a tabacco store parking lot the other day just cause the drop to the road was so steep there was no way to avoid it. but yeah if you get the paint matched up right it should look good. and don't worry about the clips. i have one side of my front skirt deal bolted on and the guy before me had it held on with a twisted paperclip. (stupid guy)

Hey man, i bought mine used off ebay a long time ago when you could still trust people on ebay and didn't have a problem. Got it painted and put on and haven't looked back. I don't know what clips he's talking about, mine didn't have any clips. Look at getting a longer front air dam for cooling. When I put mine on I didn't have it and it would almost over heat from not getting air.

I know the stock set of ground effects had clips that held them on, and screws attached on the inner part of the fenders to secure the pieces.
