You can hide all the wireing and the fuel lines running over the fenders by routing it under the fender and on top the the wheel/dirt guard. Seen that done a few times. Add some valve covers/powder coated alt/intake and some other stuff, a color corrugated tubing kit and you can have a nice looking engine bay. Stainless stell bolts will do a lot for it also.

I saw a 99 z28 that the guy had done what he called a black and orange color kit. He painted the intake, throttle body, and valve covers black and he had covers on all of the wires that were orange. He had the interior to match. It made the car look sick. I was quite jealous. I definately agree that it the 1st gens look pretty under the hood, well actually they are look pretty everywhere

Well were gettin pretty close to summer. So we'll see it soon I guess. How about spring. Spring here in Florida is summer, but then again so is fall and winter...
