there are no dyno or performance shops near you? i mean if you want all you can get, i say do it legit and get it dyno tuned or something |
Yeah Ive heard that dyno tuning is the best way to go too.
There's 5 places within 10 miles from me that dyno tune。
i think it is bc your getting engine and other data feedback while your car is on the dyno and your seeing how it performs and what needs to be changed for max performance with your upgrades. with something like PCMforless, from what i understand, its just like a plug and go with software already on the pcm. i rather have it tuned live on a dyno, but thats just me!

i see in another thread you started that you're asking about a cam. just so you know, there's absolutely no way to claim 430 HP without knowing what cam the vehicle will be running. just thought i'd throw that out there
heres the numbers on that cam, at least i think this is it. Advertised Duration 280/296, Lift .530/.530 Trick Flow® 430 HP GenX® Top-End Engine Kits for GM LT1: TFS-K304-430-400 - trickflow.com
solomon is here, LT1 PCM Tuning - OBDI/OBDII PCM Tuning/Programming Service |
will the new rebuilt engine be able to fire up and drive down the road on the stock tune?
It should, although it probably won't run super well. Definitely won't be anywhere near its maximum potential.
