Forgot to mention she made really weird creaking/stressing sounds at around 125mph in the front end, hence being scared I was gonna die I never took it above that lol. Once I check it out and it's fixed (if theres anything wrong even) I plan on goin till she cant go no more . I'd just like to live to see that day first haha.

Take a GPS that records max speed with you next time youre going over 150!

 

BUMP. I know, old thread. I'm just wondering how fast the 5.7Ls are. I thought I read some were that they top out at 150 MPH or 161 MPH but I forgot which one.

My auto lt1 will hit 145 with 2k rpm left to go

 

I got to 120 or so

 

i got my 3.4 up to 138 had to slow down due to a lack of road ive done 185 on a yamaha r1 before if im not mistaken thats real close to top speed

edit: ya real close they only do 186

 

i topped out at 150 in my lt1, 4l60e, and i was at like 4000-4500rpm or so and it kept climbing slowly but didnt know exactly how fast lol i was racing my buddy in his srt4. srt4 with bigger turbo and exhaust vs intake/exhaust lt1 = side by side from dig to 150+. we didnt leave each others side the entire time lol
