Throttle body bypass

Default Throttle body bypass

Have any of you done this? are there any downsides Ive seen dyno sheets on another forum from a 96ta tht show 6hp which isnt bad for free

The downside is, your throttle blade could freeze up in the winter time, which is what that line is there to prevent.

And since you are in IL, that would be a bad idea. Of course, you could do it in the summertime, then switch back in the winter...

Be sure to let us know about the neck-snapping results you get from doing the bypass.

haha im all about the free upgrades...and who knows maybe that lil extra helps me out one day

Leave it. I'm from il and none of my cars ever froze up but id be the first to say I learned my lesson
Driving in bad weather with a sports car. I just get a beater with a good heater or drive my jeep and freeze my butt off from now on.
But if you are concerned a can of white lithium grease really works

winters just as fun as summer...who doesn't love drifting without all the tire wear haha as long as i get a car wash every time i fill up then i dont mind driving her in winter

Okay there is a coolant line going into the bottom of the throttle body and a line going out. You take the line coming from the radiator and take it off the throttle body. You remove the other sides 90 degree elbow hose and you take the first hose and connect it to where the elbow was. Leaving the throttle body bypassed of coolant. Its about a 6hp gain
