swapping 1994 lt1 auto into 1995 lt1 manual help!!

Default swapping 1994 lt1 auto into 1995 lt1 manual help!!

i have recentley aquired a 1994 z28 with lt1 and automatic trans and 1995 z28 bad lt1 with no transmission i have since installed the 1994 lt1 and auto tranny into 1995 manual shell i need to know what wiring needs to be changed i have the 1994 ecu and harness as well as pedals in the 95 do i need the interior harness changed as well or can i run the manual harness with the auto trans

u can change the motor only.

the motor is obd1 and car is obd 2 the plugs are different and pigtail for the trans is different in interior at the console

sorry bout that. i believe u will have to change the wireing associated with the trans. the 4l60e is electronic and needs the wireing and other sensors to go with it. they should be the same but it looks like u got one of the half yrs. the 94 and 95 should be a obd1 with the obd2 plug but some 95s have the obd2 plug and ecm and some of the 94s have the obd1 plug and ecm. man the odds of u getting what u got are unbelievable. so u have both cars complete?

Default 94 to 95 swap

yes i have both complete cars minus the six speed in the 95 i think im going to swap complete car harness seems to be easier that way and should have any horror stories later but im sure its gonna take a while longer to complete you have any other ideas to make it easier

yah trade the auto for a six speed. lol. no ideas,,, trany swaps is one of my weak points. your doing what i would, i tend to overkill a little.

good luck with it.there seems to be several post right now(between v-6,lt-1 and 4th gen forums)about switching auto to manual and '95-'94.let us know how it all works out.never done it myself but know there are wiring differences(interior/exterior)computer etc.from 95-94 and auto to manual.again good luck and keep us informed

will u part with the pcm/ecm from the lt1 6speed car?
