Very nice. I was going to put a moser 9" in my car when I'm ready to start modding it. I know someone with one in their el camino that is real nice. Dana 60's are great too. Btw I would go 3.73's if it were me.

Yeah I'm still in a toss up between which ratio. I found a few websites for a 9", full built and assembled, for like $2200 or so.

4l80 is the trick. quadzilla level 3 handles like 1200 hp. with a 9in you can change the gears fairly easily. have 342 for cruzin and 456 for track.

Lol the only reason I say that is because it's going to be a project build that I want to do right the first way, so you pay what you get for. Since I'm in no rush, I can save up for what I want/need.

Is the 4L80 the same physical size as a 4L60?

I'm pretty sure it is. The only difference I can see is the tail shaft housing. Since the 4L80 is in trucks, usually with 4WD, the tail shaft is longer for the transfer case. So I could just swap over the tail shaft.

I was thinking that it was similar to the TH350/TH400 size and mounting differences. You could get the TH400 into just about anything that came with a TH350, you just needed the correct adapter plates.

I have the 4L80E in my 2500HD and it just looks bigger than the 4L60E in my Z28 and S10. Although I haven't had them out and side-by-side to really compare the sizes.
