stereo wiring
my 94z has the Bose system. i swapped out the deck but there's a blue wire the seems to power the door speakers and the Bose sub in the rear. where ever I attach this wire it makes a loud constant poppin sound. kinda like there a bad ground or something. anybody else had this problem. I don't wanna run new wires if I don't gotta.

Bose uses a separate amp integrated with the door speakers and the rear sub. These amps do not accept high level inputs, such as an amp out from a head unit. If you power the speakers up when applying a high level they will overload and make bad noises.

I had the same problem when I first got my Z as well. I then just gave up on try to use the harness and hard wired my ENTIRE system. I had my interior taken apart, hard wired every speaker and tucked them properly under carpet. Yeah it did take a while, but for how good it sounds, it was worth the time and work for me. Just an idea. I also did new speakers and my sub and amp at the same time so I wanted all of that to look clean as well.

I did the same thing as craby for the doors. For the back speakers, obviously run through the panels. I went under the dash, right below the glove box and steering column, then through the door sill panels or whatever they're called.
