Default Stall rating for future cam install.

I am looking to install a cam later on in the year and am trying to prep for things beforehand. Since I am going to be working on my transmission and putting in a new torque converter I feel it would be easier to adjust the stall now. I have read that this is necessary to adjust the stall when running an aftermarket cam with an automatic transmission in addition to new lifters, rockers, pushrods, etc. Is this so? And if yes then what stall should I look for in a torque converter? I will be probably throwing in a mild comp cam.

with a mild cam u shouldnt need one but a 2000 stall should work fine.

i, personally, would go at least 3000...that leaves a little room for future upgrades that we all know you're going to want to do to your car
