spark plugs in my exhaust pipes??????

i was under my car looking today because my connector broke off my drivers side o2 sensor and while i was under there i spotted something that has boggled me, in the crossover pipe from drivers side to pass side there is a spark plug in a bung, almost right under the starter, and behind where my cats used to be there is something that looks like a spark plug there too but no wires or anything to either of them, any ideas what that might be

Your Secondary O2 sensors? I think your car originally had 4 O2 sensors. THe secondary ones just monitor the Cat.

thats what i thought until i took a closer look, the front one is positively a spark plug, its an ac/delco spark plug, the other one looks just like a spark plug but it is the same size al the way for tip to base, it has some sort of threaded tip sticking out the end of it

Gee, I taught they were the spark plugs for lighting up the afterburners. No wonder my car does not respond as I felt it should.

Well then a very retarted person put a spake plug in your exhaust. It did not come form the factory or anyone that knows anything about cars.

AC deco O2 sensors with the wire cut off would look a lot like spark plug. I am just say'n

true, but an o2 sensor with wires cut off would not have an end on it for a spark plug wire to clip on it though. for fact 100 percent i know they are not o2 sensors i just want to know if anyone would know why someone would put that in the exhaust, i know that they make a flame thrower kit for exhaust but the spark plugs are in the rear of the vehicle, i dont know why anything would use them near the front

maybe the po tried to put on a sick flamethrower

Could be the guy just wanted to plug the holes, and said, hey....these old spark plugs I have here fit the hole just right.

either the after cat 02 sensor is tuned out or the service engine light is unhooked. all 02s can be tuned out but motor would run rich most times and be a pain to maintain. the 94 has 1 cat and 3 02 sensors. check the ecm/main computer for any stickers or signs that its been tuned.

my 94 and 95 only had 2 o2s there should be no post cat o2 on the obd1
