Default So what do you guys think about this?

I was thinking of disconnecting the rear speaker wires and connecting them to the center speakers. Then I was planing on replacing the rear 4" speakers with a pair of 300 watt 4way 6X9s and power them throu a 600 watt amp that I would power thou my after market stereo.

as long as u are not trying to push 300 watts threw the stock wires u should have a noise maker.

personally to me it sounds like a horrible idea.. but go nuts.. 6x9`s really are garbage speakers.. I have 5.5`s in the back.. and replacing with those are about as good as smaller speakers go.

I always put my Highs in front and bass speakers in the rear.. up to you tho.. are you running subs.. and are the 6x9`s 3 wayÉ if so, your wasting money as your subs will over whelm the mid and tweet.

FYI - 300 watts and the AWG wire in stock harness will work fine. Upgrading is always an option tho.

No im not running subs. I kinda outgrew them and it costs way to much to do them right. If you dont do it right they get all kinds of rattling sounds and that just sounds like junk. All im doing is upgrading the rear 4"(i dont know if there even 4") to a set of 6X9 300w 4ways. I got it done today and it sounds ten times better then it did before. Its crisper and also has alot more bass.
