Depends on your state. Here in Illnoise, they look under the car for the cat, plug your car into their computer, and you're done as long there are no error codes. 95 and older don't get tested here any more. Other states actually perform a physical under hood check to make sure the emission components are still there and operational. I would go into the testing station and ask them what they will, and won't be testing your car for, I'm sure they'll tell you.

Thank you, I'll do that and go from there. If it isn't needed, I'll probably just be removing them.

And, I love the smiley dude stuffing the engine into that car in your sig. That's funny stuff. lol.

I know this is super old but i have a 95 and i unplugged the air pump and no code showed. Soon as i took the fuse out a code showed up. Just fyi
