man, i honestly couldnt tell ya. plugs are champs, wires are MSD. funny thing is, as long as I keep it reved over 1000 no engine light. Now if I open the cut cut it flags fast. but I guess I understand that since its bypassing th o2 sensors. But I played some today in it, and if you are getting on it, this car runs great , I turned 8500 and it spun thru 4th, and I let out, this LT1 383 is unreal.

Now that I think about it, it has an after market fuel regulator, it could be that.....bad thing is no gauge.

The O2 sensors are seeing the extra air in the exhaust and is trying to richen the mixture by sending more fuel. The plugs can't burn all the fuel. I had the same problem with open headers

Yeah, i took the cutout off today and its full open headers, I have to press the throttle to get it to fire up, then It wont idle long.....Ima cap em off till I get new ones.

I hope thats the problem....

I just talked to the old owner of my car. He says he never had an issue running the cutouts open, since the cutouts are located behind the o2 sensors. He suggested Idle Air Controller. But will that make it run rich?

at idle i suppose it could. test it and see what its doing. a few other things are the evap system, bad or fouled 02 sensors, sticky injector, map giving false readings, exhaust manifold leak, wrong or failing tune, weak spark and thats all i can think of.
