Stall and stumbles going down the road. Its maby a bad temp. sensor. So now the computer thinks you in Fairbanks Alaska at -60degs. and gos to full rich to start you all the time. Unplug the temp sensor and if your car drives ok that it.

Unplugging the temp sensor will make the PCM see lowest possible temp so it should fatten up the mixture with it unplugged. Test the temp sensor and wiring to see if it is in fact faulty.

It could also be that there is a vacuum leak letting unmetered air in too which explains why with the temp sensor unplugged it runs better because it is adding fuel. If you can get a scan tool that will give you live data you could watch the o2 sensors and see if it runs lean with the sensor plugged in and if it runs closer to normal (.450V or so) with it unplugged.

The MAP sensor signal may be helpful in diagnosing a fuel mixture issue too. Because it will help us see if more air is coming in than normal.

^^^ agree and if your computer thinks its -60 degrees then your temp sensor is most likely failing. most times it goes to coldest temp it can when the sensor goes. did it on my truck (-40) and the only time it would run even close to right was at first startup. after that i had to open the throttle to let more air in before it would start and would not idle worth a darn.

I don't think those tech aids are gonna help much. And since when did the 1500 305 truck engine come with an opti?
Is there a reason why this was put in the 4th gen section to begin with?

After replacing the ECU/PCU the engine would run like it flooding and stall wile driving. So to get it started, I floored it until it started and drove it back home.
To lazy to make a video, plus you don't have to go through a lot of trouble charts. If you unplug it and your car runs better, that maybe one problem solved.
