Does anyone know if the drilled and slotted rotors off eBay are any good? I need new rotors and I was wondering if anyone had tried these.....

ive had some on the 93 for a year now and im not real impressed with them, worked good to start but now stopping is about the same as stock and seems like there starting to warp, getting a little surging while braking that has just started. i had powerstop drilled and slotted rotors on the first camaro and was very happy with them and will be putting some on this one if/when the ones on it get any worse.

For a street car, drilled and slotted rotors are just for looks anyway. The ones on flebay are quite possibly Cheap China Crap (CCC) metal made to look "nifty".

I've never had issues with Advance Auto rotors on any of my cars. Camaro69 is correct about overkill for the street.

i bought a set of drilled slotted off of ebay at the exact same time of friend of mine did. His have held up great and work perfectly. Mine on the other hand have started to warp slightly. Its not a big deal but u can notice it a little. On the street they arnt important but if you're doing triple digit speed and need to stop...my original rotors glazed VERY quickly and the brake petal was just there for looks. I ended up running a light and hitting the interstate onramp to keep from hitting anyone. So...im still happy with the drilled slotted. They do their job

If you plan to do more than just street driving, I'd be worried about "drilled" rotors in general. Most drilled rotors are done without regard to the actual rotor's stresses, and cracks have happened with the holes.

Personally, I keep to slotted rotors only.

i had them on a different car and they are about 6% better than stock. they are made like all other drilled and slotted but they have a few flaws. first are the cheap brakes they come with. second the drills are not completely flush or aligned. so they tend to warp really bad after id say 2 years. they did on the car i had. and most of all they make a hissing noise when you brake. its loud, like a rattle snake. this is because its a straight hole. for the price its a good deal till you can afford to upgrade to a decent big brake kit. if nothing else they're cheaper, about the same and look cool

I got some off ebay from a company that was in canada. drilled/slotted/black something coated, just can't think of it right now. Got the whole kit and they came with EBC pads, wasn't cheap, I think it was just over 300 bucks. But they have held up great and they work great, a huge difference over the powerstop ones I had on before.

They were ceramic pads, also had the option to upgrade to the hawks pads for like another 30/40 bucks I think. And they are black zinc coated, remember it ha. Of course the zinc wears off the friction parts.
