rocker arm stud

Default rocker arm stud

i have a 93 z28 an my rocker arm stud broke off in my head , how do i get it out . is it machined or threaded in .

Did it hurt when it broke offin your head? LOL
Don't know what you mean by machined, but the studs are threaded. How you get a broken one out, it all depends, but you need to be careful not to damage the head. May want to let a machine shop do it.

lol i didnt know if it was pressed or threaded in the head .i have to do a compression check to see if it damaged the piston but it is better to take tha head off an take it to a shop to get machined !

Yeah, if you damage the stud tower the head is junk. You may want to replace the 5/16" studs with the stronger 3/8" studs, and use stud girdles if you have a really wild cam.

it all ready had 3/8' studs in the head it was like that from tha factory i guess cause i never changed them out
