How do you remove the oil cooler from the block and where can i get the correct part to install to delete the oil cooler to run a oem filter?

The oil cooler is OEM, and it is there to protect your engine. Why do you want to get rid of it?

i used a remote mount on mine. moroso 27382. i ran a hose from the radiator to the water pump to delete the coolant part of it and once you get the cooler out youll figure it out. should just be a matter of switching to another style filter. http://shbox.com/1/oil_cooler.jpg

Well Pete, if his is like mine it leaks oil into the coolant, and possibly contaminating the oil with coolant too.

Im looking for something that replaces this, so i can just spin a filter on in the same spot but without the cooler. i have seen them, but cant find them now??

any leak issues with this? it looks like the same diameter on the top fo the cooler as the bottom so the filter gasket should seal it up correct?

yes. i dont remember if a different style filter is needed or not. i was going to go that way but it was pretty close to the headers. i do like my remote filter, i have it up by the air pump, makes changing easier and cleaner plus dont get oil on the headers.
