Default quick question about oil

so the po was running full synthetic oil and ive always been told you cant go back... is this true??? also theres not a drip of oil in my engine (except the assembly lube) so there should be no problem going back to conventional right???

Why not go with a blend a lot cheaper but to ease your mind if somebody
Had synthetic I would not hesitate going to conventional as long as you keep the viscosity right failure isn't always the oil to blame poor filters/pcv/air filters hurt a motor worse

Yes you can go back, if that's what you want to do. Synthetic is compatible with regular oil, and vice-versa.
A "blend" is a mix of synthetic and conventional oils, so what does that tell you about compatibility?

You can go back no problem. Almost all synthetics can be mixed with regular oil. The only thing you lose is the added benefits of synthetic, but your not keeping it anyway.

Holy crap, how much? I just bought two 5 quart bottles of Mobil 1 full syn at Waldomart, $25.82 each. So you're gonna cheap out to save 15 bucks, even though you're selling the car? Which sounds better to a potential buyer..."I just changed the oil and used the cheapest stuff I could get my hands on". Or... "this engine has had full synthetic for as long as I'm aware, and it just received a fresh batch".
