I was told that it could help with my over heating problem... I'm not too sure how much of that is true... but I do need a new one so might as well get a bigger one...

before you go throwing a bigger radiator in there why dont you check your cooling system. My car ran VERY hot until i got my cooling system fixed and now it runs perfect. Whatare your cars symptoms? Overheating? Does it blow hot air or just cold? What color is yourcoolant in the radiator?

Don't put in a bigger radiator, the oem one is sufficient. There are some things you could do. Check to see that your fans are working, check to see if your thermostat works, buy a pressure tester and look for leaks. My car used to lose water every day. Sometimes it would get low and my car would overheat. Turned out to be a few pin size holes in a couple of rubber hoses. Good luck.

yeah mine was alot worse than that. The previous owner unplugged the cooling system and didnt plug it back so the water had no way to cool and so it cooked in my radiator and turned it coffee brown... plus the guy ran 50% distilled water 50% coolant.. which to me seemed odd.. like.. why not just fill it up all the way with coolant..

Water cools better then coolant (antifreeze) usually. There are some coolants that do help vehicles run cooler though (for instance with bikes you sometimes have to get a special coolant that help the bike run cooler). Some people in climates that are always warm will just run 100% distilled and no antifreeze/coolant. I usually run a 50/50 mix. At a landscape job I used to work at we had premixed 50/50 for our trucks.
