hey, i have a 94 z28, auto, the problem is when i lay the gas down on it there is some kind of bump/ poping noise. it sounds like it comesfrom directly under the console. i was figuring it was the transmittion mounts or somthin, but i dont know..... any suggestions? thnx.

 

Sounds like the tranny mount is broke. Get a eurethane mount and you shouldn't have any more problems with it.

I had the same problem with my 1995 auto Z, its most likely the trans mount. Mine just shifted off and would make the trans bump and this the floor pans. Its not a big deal to fix.

 

Now that you mention it, I have something similar on my '95, almost like a bit of a delay and bump when engaging from neutral to drive (automatic) especially noticeable when I gun it a bit. Does this sound like what you guys experience?

no, mine doesnt "bump" when shifting from neutral to drive....mine only does it whentorque is applied. Oh, another question...how is the best way to get under a camaro? i havent found an easy way yet...lol

 

lol there is no easy way. A floor jack and 4 jack stands is the only way I know how.
