Ive got a 95 z28. What is the temperature when you just sit and idle and what is it when your driving? My temperature gauge runs anywhere from 187 to 195.. I put a new Thermostat 180, fans are running constant right now, and also put a new radiator in it. Seems like when i punch it the temperature goes down and then when i go back to cruising speed 60 -70mph it goes up again. How hot can this motor run before its bad?.... Any help would be very much appreciated , thank you

 

when sitting in traffic for extended periods mine will reach 210* , but driving around normally it stays about 180*. i have never heard my fan(s) come on except when i turn the a/c on . i don't think the engine ever gets warm enough for them to come on.
