Default overheating problems

I had my LT1 bored out 30 over... does that cause overheating? I don’t know what the problem could be. Does anybody have any ideas? I’m about all out of ideas… I don’t know if this helps, but I also put a LT4 Hot Cam kit, headers and bigger flat top pistons.

I actually took off my thermastat... I heard it's only there to worm up the car faster... I don't know how much of that is true, but I never had a problem before...

Besides allowing the engine to warm up quicker, the stat slows down the flow of the coolant coolant in order to give it time to remove heat from the engine. You should put the stat back, and verify that the fans come on at around 225 deg and goto high speed at 232 deg, and that the air dam under the radiator is in place. If all this checks out, then you need to take a good look at the condition of the radiator, radiator cap, water pump, make sure all air got purged out of the system, and have the coolant tested for the presence of combustion gases.
