Default Oil Pressure

Hey everyone. I just recently upgraded my camaro from an 88' RS to a 94' z28. I love it already but I seem to be having some problems with my oil pressure. Its low when its idling and then goes up towards (but alittle short) of where its suppose to be. Wondering if theres any suggestions on what to check or could be the problem. I just did an oil change yesterday, and no difference.

Please define "low" and "where it's supposed to be."

Don't do anything based on what your gage says. Get a good hand help gage and check the pressure.

mine is just above the first mark or about 25lbs at idle warmed up. that is normal for a motor with higher miles.

My LT1 with 98k miles runs at 60 lbs on the highway cold, 55 on the highway hot, 30 at idle, and 25 at idle in gear. Yours does sound a tad low. Try putting an oil additive in if it bothers you, or gets to the danger zone.
