are you positive its the oil pan gasket and not something more serious?

i had to loosen my oil pan when I did my cam, and honestly, if i had wanted to just take the bolts all the way out, slide in a new gasket, and retighten it it would have only taken me about an hour. maybe 100 bucks at a shop for that then? depends on now they decide to do it i guess.

usually you have to take out the motor mount bolts and lift the engine so the pan can clear the crossmember. You might get away with putting a block of wood against the transmission pan and lifting it there though. You usually can't just loosen the bolts and slide in a new gasket as you have to get the gasket around oil pump and rotating assembly especially if you're going with a 1 piece gasket. Usual price is about 300 bucks but that's around here.
