Noob!! car runs hot lacks power and misses

the dyno tuner im going to use recomended a place called doctor injector. i sent mine to him and two were bad and he couldnt get them to flow at the 30 lbs they were suposed to so i switched to some red top 30lb ers that he tested before they got sent out. where you at? they have a shop in cali.

im 30 min outside of San Francisco i found the site for the one closest to me and its only an hour drive i think i will give them a call

put a new coil on it and that was not it. it drives a little when it is cold but once it warms up its all over. Im so frustrated with this she beast from hell. anyone have a pluged cat before? dose this sound like a pluged cat? the cat was last replaced in 04

yes it could be a plugged cat. has the car gotten quiter? maybe making a hissing noise from the exhaust? should be ok if there only 6 yrs old but if your running rich the cats will get plugged pretty fast. you could open up the exhaust before the cat and see if that helps aany.

You said that you replaced the opti, and now it feels even more underpowered.
Are you certain that you got the plug wires on all the way and in the correct order?

yes im positive that they are on right and all the way it runs smoother than it did but it has no power i pulled the smog pump check valves and ran it and no power gain so its not the cat im going to pull it appart this weekend and see if i got the timeing gear off a tooth when i replaced it

ok make sure the knock sensor is plugged in all the way. its easy to get it on there but not all the way. i did it and had similar issues with no power. found you have to squeeze the plugin connector a little and it goes right on.

i will check it but do not remember haveing to unplug it for anything plus in free scan my knock count dose rise aftet i get the popping sounds from the exhaust

Well while i was at work my dad pulled the car appart and it was a tooth off. so when it gets backtogether i will update on if it is fixed
