I am curious, what is the point of stainless and jet hot? I understand why you would want stainless or why you would coat a none stainless set but why both? Neither should rust?

My understanding is that the Jet hot will last a long time. Why not just start with standard headers. Once its coated you could not tell the differents?

Grill paint works good too! Better than VHT "High temp" paint.

slp is the best cai for the lt1 4th gen. k&n or moroso are very very close to as good. get stainless headers and have them jet hot coated if you can afford it. the tb bypass really doesnt do much, if you live where its cold you may want to leave it hooked up. at least if you drive when it cold. the suspension is another thing on these that can improve greatly with some quality parts.
x2, I was going to recommend Solomon also but Craby beat me to it.

What grill paint did you use? I painted my LT's with VHT a while back and they're already peeling. Need something durable that isn't too costly.

I originally used the VHT black "high temp" paint...that's starting to peel and rust was forming on the collectors. A good friend mentioned grill paint...I don't remember the brand. When I go to work today I'll look to see what it's called. Seems to be holding up after a few hundred miles.

I actually work at autozone lol. Most of our paint is rustoleum but we sell the vht too (not that I would recommend of). I sprayed the engine and headers in my nova with rustoleums high temp paint about a year ago and I drive the car everyday... Paints still holding up.
