need info on manifold and throttle body
 

i have recently ordered a 58mm ported intake manifold, and 58mm throttle body, does anybody know of what kind of horsepower gains this will make or if it will make a difference at all, i have not yet installed it yet, should i just send it back, or is it worth installing it on my lt1?

we need more info on what else is done to your car to be of any help. if its a stock engine then you're wasting your time. if you have ported heads and a cam, then its probably worth a few horsepower

its stock right now but i just ordered a lunati voodoo cam, i was gonna put that in at the same time i put the throttlebody and intake on

that's what we would classify as a "baby" cam...but i also think you're doing a lot of this wrong. do you have any of the bolt ons done such as headers, exhaust, CAI, gears? you will choke your cam if your engine isn't breathing better

Wham has you covered. A 58mm TB and intake are only going to benefit you if you're pushing major HP. The stock intake and TB outflow the stock heads, so unless you have at least good port/polish job on the heads, it's not going to buy you any power.

I wouldn't say the stock tb and intake out flow the stock heads. As that isn't exactly true to a point. But if this is a maf car. Upgrading the tb is pointless if bigger than stock. As the maf will be a restiction. Even with the screen removed.

You also said you bought the intake opened to 58mm. Where did you get it and why kind? Stock or what?
