hey i was just wondering what would be a likely outcome i have a
97 z28
cold air intake (from ebay)
and catless exhaust with Flowmaster
manual 6 speed
he has a 96 Mustang Gt 5 speed
CAI
Hpipe and Flowmasters

 

You will stomp him. The GT's from that era only sounded mean.

u have it in the bag, the power to weight ratio for him is poor. 215 hp 290ftlbs torque, the 2.73 gears killed the performance, and the mustang tipped the scales @ 3411, your might even out perform a 96 cobra which ran the quarter mile @ 14 flat. You on the other hand 285 hp and 335 ft lbs torque and 3440 for weight. 14.3 quarter mile time.

 

i thought camaros my year would run 14.4 at the 1/4 mile ? and now hes saying he wants to bring his buddy with a 02 gt headers basanni x pipe and CAI and a short shifter

 

my 95 did 13.3 with intake and muffler and our other 94 did a 13.9 wth auto (all stock). The 97 we have did 13.4 with cai and headers. THese passes are all with normal highway tires and the BEST drivers in the area. LOL. Practice knocks off time;-).

my car with street tires too a 2000 cobra by almost two cars

 

you beat a 200 covra or lost to a 2000 cobra and the only cobra in 2000 is a cobra r lol those are fast lol like 385 hp 385 torque
