so i just rebuilt the motor in my 95 z/28 but heres the kicker im getting coolent in my just in the heads none in the botom half i put new heads on and i know that the head gaskets are good and the motor only has 330 miles on it since the rebuild and for the life of me i can't figure it out so plz help!!!!!!

 

were is the water getting in the head? what kind of heads? were did u get them?

 

What does that mean? And where in the heads? Externally, or under the valve covers, or what?

in the valve covers `i can only tell that cuz the oil that is on the fill neck and cap is white and i believe that it is from the coolant if im wrong plz tell me also the heads are stock i got them off ebay cuz i didnt trust mine and i had my michinest check them out so i know those are not the problem

 

how does the oil in the crank case look? it could be just some condensation. clean it up and see if it comes back. are u losing water from the cooling system?

 

im losing coolant and i have oil in my coolant i flushed everything out while i had it out and i think is my oil cooler is bad but i dont have any coolant in my crankcase so i feel like im running in circles with it

 

sounds like head gasket or head cracked

 

sounds like u may have it figured out. the oil pressure must be enough to hold the water out while running and a little is getting to the oil while not running but not enough to show in the oil. u must not be losing to much water.

 

it is not the heads or head gaskets i just cleard 370 miles on the motor since i rebuilt it and the heads were hot tanked and magnafluxed by my michinest
