hey everyone I was wondering how the LT1's compared to the LS1. what kind of horsepower do they have?? mileage? quarter mile time?? thanx.

 

Except for cylinder spacing, they are totally different engines. The Lt1 is based on the chevy small block except for reverse cooling. The LS1 is a totaly new design, has a six bolt cross bolted bottom end, while the LT1 has either two or four bolt mains. Powerwise, the stock LS1 is rated higher than the LT1, when the engines are modified all bets are off, as either can be made to produce over 700 HP without power adders.
