Default LT1 parts ID

So I got my LT1 project. I think I got a stock high miles motor. Cam is wiped, it looks like a lifter froze. You can tell it put metal all thru the motor.

I think the motor could be rebuild and I will save the block but I doubt numbers matchin will even matter since is a 93 z built into an 02 SS clone.

My goal would be to reuse the heads and intake on a low mile buick LT1. I just want to verify what I have.

This intake looks stock. The fuel rails are marked rochester. The guy I bought it from said the water pump was on for only a few weeks (2 I think) He only owned the car a short while before the motor blew.

THe head look like I thought they would. The rockers are very nice roller rockers with roller tips. They are marked with a bowtie and 1.6 I think. Stock?

I can not imagine getting much bigger valves into those heads.

Intake ports look stock and untouched.

I was told that like the water pump the Opti was replaced just before the motor blew. I can not find any markings on it. Is that a bad sign of a cheapy? I also found a brand new set of Napa plug wire, yea I will not be using them.

That intake looks like the one I have on the 94 and my is stock. The fuel rail I have has writing stamped into it but I didn't pay attention to what it said on it. My heads do not have roller rockers. Just the plain rockers. hope this reply comes through. I am trying to type on my blackberry.

I did a little research. It looks like I have these rockers.

Are these stock on the LT4?

The rochester fuel rail is stock, they all say that... the opti looks like the gm replacement and is not a cheapy, I think they are the best ones. Everything looks fine otherwise. Good luck and welcome.

the only thing i see that is not stock 93 lt1 is the rockers. if going with a buick lt1 be on the lookout to make sure its not a 4.3 lt1, only way to tell is the casting numbers otherwise they look the same. 4.3 is cast into the top of the block ahead of where the trans mounts.

That is a GM performance optispark. Not a copy. I'll be reviewing all the offerings soon. I'm not sure that GM performance = delco. I think GM performance might = delphi, which is now made in china to my understanding.
