Default LT1 issues after blown head gasket repair

1994 lt1 head gasket blew so i repaired both. Having a couple issues with it though. still has some smoke coming from the exhaust not a lot but some-white smoke. Maybe burning residual coolant? i replaced all fluids. Driven it around the block some and let it idle.

next issue is on the driver side manifold the pipe coming from it- there is a leak at that nut area on the manifold and its got some smoke coming from it and smells like burning oil.

Also there is a loss of power from the engine. I have tried to set the rockers but there is an exhaust leak I need to fix so I can here them better when setting.

the exhaust leaks are at the 3 bolt point at the end of the manifold. before the o2 i believe. except the pipe leak I spoke of. Guess ill get the leaks fixed and then set the rockers properly first and see how it goes then.

The upstream O2s screw into the manifolds so a leak down at the collector isn't going to affect your readings.

Is there white smoke after the car has reached operating temperature?

Did you have the heads checked for cracks?

make sure the exhaust manifold is sealed against the head correctly. most times the ticking exhaust leak is there. exhaust leak should not have to big of an effect on performance in the short term, would most likely cause a rich condition and foul plugs. like gorn sayin it could be a compression issue, could be crack in head/block or lifters are set to deep/tight. but then it could be a number of other things. check all sensor connections, spark plug wires and double check to make sure the plug wires are in the correct places. scann for trouble codes if you can.

yes white smoke after it warms up, not at first. I didnt have the heads checked no funds for it. Ill double check all my connections as well. Maybe I got one of the smaller hoses mixed up not sure. Going out now to try and fix the exhaust leak then Ill work on getting the rockers set properly.

Ok, I understand about money being tight. But do you have the funds or the means to do it again?
