Default LT1 Camaro noise from driver side engine bay

This noise started recently. It has started to get louder. Sounds like it's coming from driver side engine bay area. It's a 96 LT1 Z28 automatic. Have not checked for codes yet. Any ideas? Thanks!

It is hard to tell by video because it lacks sound direction. If the noise is louder on top of the engine then it is a valve train issue. Could be a bad lifter, but it sounds too bad for that. We can all take guesses but there is no way to be sure until you pull it a parts. You can wipe oil from your dip stick on a dark rag and see if you have metal shavings in the oil. If you do there is a good chance the engine ate the Cam.

Same noise mine makes. Replaced the water pump shortly after I bought the car with a NAPA brand. About 2 years later, started making that noise. Water pump leaked last year. Replaced water pump with Car Quest brand. Sound went away for a few months. Came back. Not leaking yet, but when it does, I will put an electric one on. Runs like a champ at 143,000 on the clock.

I think hooknlader might be on to it, I have a nice stereo hooked up to my PC and it sounds like something cam or belt driven ,take your belt off and start the car to be sure it's not an alternator or idler pully before you go replacing the waterpump.

Thank you guys for the replies. Yeah mine was replaced with a napa water pump. I'll have a little more time this weekend to play with it and try to get more info on where exactly it's coming from.

Yes, forgot to mention I ruled out all the external rotating parts.
