Lt1 A4 stock shift point at WOT?

What's the stock shift points at wot? I finally WOT my car from a dead stop and 1-2 and 2-3 It shifted at 6100 RPM. Is that right?

should be shifting at 5500.

Unless somebody changed the shift points
Did it shift clean? Was it quick or seem to last forever?

That is a common problem as the 4L60E transmission gets old. The tranny does not want to shift at WOT and waits till the rev limiter is hit to shift. If it working properly it should shift right before the red line on the tach, around 5500-5600. There are many possible causes rengings from bad sensors, worn out parts, and even maladjusted shift linkage. So it pays to have the transmission scanned for trouble codes, and get a starting point.

Mine shifts late but then again I personally tuned my own shift points in my car.

It dosent feel like it hit the rev limiter. really fast smooth shift. But I got a used engine out of a 97 camaro last year. Would that change the shift points?
Also... Is that bad on the engine to rev it that high?

not bad until the motor goes bang,,, clunk.

So it's bad I'm guessing lol

as long as the motor is running right and none of the valves or springs stick your ok. without the right cam the power drops above 5500
