Default Lower control arm replacement

I think my 94 is in need of front lower control arm replacements on both sides. Everytime I'd go over a speed bump, I'd here a clunk. After lifting the front end in the air and shaking a few things, I noticed that the back bushing of both lower control arms were a little cracked. Do you need to replace the entire control arm or can you replace just the bushings? Is it a difficult task?

You can replace the bushing with a proper tool. But you should take a look at the ball joints and tie rod ends as the usually go before the bushings.

As always thanks again Z28pete for info. I'm really learning alot about this car thanks to you. I'm not to familiar with this type of control arms. I'm usually used to seeing the bushings inline with each other, not one vertical and one horizontal? They look similar to the wishbone type found on BMWs. I checked the ball joints and t/rods, they seem OK. Actually only the rear control arm bushing is torn but the front seems to be fine. I'll get a quote on the whole thing so I don't have to worry about it for awhile. Thanks again

Mike
