ok guys, ive narrowed my engine problem down to the knock sensor. Ive replaced it with a new one but the problem is still there. My car refuses to run until you hit about 2500 rpms and after that it seems just fine. It isnt the opti, the WHOLE ignition system has been replaced with MSD. I know you can get some defective parts but i dont think i did. To test my theory i took the knock sensor out of the block and suspended it with zip-tie's, then grounded it to the block. The car runs like a DREAM. My question is...do you think im getting false knock? or do i have a serious problem?
P.S I have a LT4 knock module (not sensor) and my headers arn't hitting the floorboard.

have a look at this and see if any of the tests help.

The knock sensor IS plugged in right now, just not attached to the block. Thus its getting the same electrical signals it normally would and that doesnt seem necessary. To add a littlebit of information, my car shakes... yes the driveshaft is off balance but it also shakes in neutral and gets kinda bad around 4k. If my flywheel was off balance or loose, could these vibrations give me false knock?

As far as i know, my engine is internally balanced in the front and externally balanced in the back. I think im going to put my stock flywheel back on and see if it cures the problem, if it does...i have a serious balancing issue in the flywheel.
