Default just picked up a 93' LT1 camaro. Got some ????

ok so i just picked up a Camaro. It has a Busted Auto tranny that im having rebuilt... Im planning To turbo it and hitting the track as much as possible... So my question is, what are some good turbo kits out there for the LT1 and is the Rear mounted STS set up anygood?

How much power can the Auto tranny's/stock motor/rear end hold?

What other alternative to A turbo set up are you guys doing for some powa?

This is my first v8 car, coming from turbo 4 bangers LOL.......

Get ready for some steel crunching power then lol. You gonna need some good rear end if you want to track a turbo LT1 Camaro.

As for how good they work a nearly stock LT1 just with intercooler and rear mounted turbo did a low 13s on the track. It's not that impressive but considering it was mostly stock it's a good second off its time.

stock auto tranny wont hold up long if you keep launching it.
stock 10 bolt COULD hold up for a while until it decides its done as well which probably wont' be too long with sticky tires and launches

what alternative to a turbo? how bout building a motor? idk what kind of power you're looking for, but a good heads/cam package on a 355 can make 450+ to the rear wheels

Low 13's what was the trap speed on that?
How much boost was he running?
Im sure with more bolt ons that time could inprove
I did a 12.3 with my SRT-4 not running right... Hmmmmmm

alternative like getting built heads or anything else besides a turbo... are the belt driven turbochargers better? like make more power/easier/cost less then a turbo set up? I just want it to do low 12's

you don't need a turbo for low 12's...a decents heads/cam package will net low 12's all day if not 11's
