Default Just bought a '95 Z28

Just got my hands on a Purple 1995 Convertible Z28 (six speed) with 115k. I wanted to kind of welcome myself to the forum and see if I could get some questions answered.

Any idea how I can tell if it's a V8 or V6? Or how many liters the engine is? And is it automatically a 5.7L V8 (or something) just because it's a Z28? I'm not quite sure how all of this works

As I understand it, the color and the fact it is a convertible make it a little bit more rare than most '95 Z28s, so I am considering painting it, but should I keep the color just for the sake of rarity? And also, any color ideas, I am a fan of white, but ever since I wanted to paint it white, all I see are white camaros.

Also, any suggestions of simple modifications or other sources of info would be great.

Har har, I popped the hood and I seriously couldn't tell, I didn't look around too much, but I didn't see any indication. Or are you messing with me. . . and all Z28s are V8's, which is the point? Oh well, thanks I guess.

look at the exhaust manifolds (easiest way for a newbie?). if thereare 4 tubes going into 1 on each side of the motor then v8. if 3 to 1 on each side then v6. but if its a z28 then automatically v8

but ls1's are quite a bit faster. like this....... your sunfire VS. your sunfire with a 50 shot of nitrous.

Since it's stock, any idea how much horsepower it has?

Haha, any place with FAQ's, I tried wikipedia and some googling, and I don't like to sound stupid, so that would be some great help.

Also, what makes the LS1 so much faster than the LT1?
