Suffering frustration with Fedex being a week late with my new rotors, I decided to check the condition of the air filter which meant learning how it all fit together. Not too tricky other than what appears to be a silencer tube that stopped play, especially as I noticed that the rubber of the elbow had disintegrated and was folded in on itself.
My car is LT1 1995 and I'm wondering what the electrical and air ports do as I haven't been able to locate a straight swap piece. What can I buy that will satisfy the computers ? I think I can live without the silencer bit.
The filter looks close to EOL btw. At least I know how to get there with nothing scary !!
