Okay... I have a 1994 Camaro Z28 and I decided one morning that I wanted to make my LT-1 to a LT-4. Everything was going smooth until now. I seem to have lost a part that is important, but I do not know what it is called. It is located behind the intake manifold, but still on the block. When I turn it on, a ton of oil comes out. Some people tell me it's a tube that goes on the block and at the end of the tube there is a sensor; they tell me oil pressure sensor. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I need to find that part ASAP. If anyone has any idea, please help. Thank you

As far as I know, at the rear of the block there are several oil gallery plugs. On the side of the block above the oil filter there is a sensor assembly that has the switch for the oil pressure light, and auxiliary contacts for the fuel pump. GM's name for this item is "SENSOR ASSEMBLY, FUEL PUMP AND ENGINE OIL PRESSURE INDICATION SWITCH" If you leave this sensor or any of the gallery plugs out, it will leak oil big time. By the way, you will need a 96 & up front cover for the LT4 conversion.

The sensor on top of the block on the driver's side behind the intake is the oil pressure sending unit. There should be a plug with a single wire in it. If that is the sensor you'r missing. check to make sure the wire is good mine was loose when I bought it when I tour the engine down the plug pulled loose from the wire almost every thread of wire was brock.
