Default i cant seem to get my water pump seal on without it getting damaged

okah so ive been trying to relpace the timing cover water pump seal.. and so far have gone threw 2 warter pump seals... the one that napa auto parts and the seal i got from gm dont look like the original seal...idk what to do

the seal is all metal and has a dust seal and a oil seal.. each time i go to put it on the shaft breaks the oil seal..

the stock seal that i took off my car only had one seal and was grey.. with rubber on the outer edge..

any advice? do i got the wrong seal? how do i put it on without breaking them...
