I'd man up and go with 4.10's.

Really? I was thinkin that the 4.10's were a little steep for a daily driven car. What would my rpms be at at 60mph or highway speed?

4.10s are definitely steep for a DD. My friend has them in his '00 Z28, and he regrets it. I'd say 3.42s.

I'm gonna have to check the door on my '96 to see what gears I have next time I go home...

I think it depends on what you want your goals are for the car. Once you have a pretty firm grasp on that, go with the setup that will best help you get there. With what I gathered you're going for, I'd say 3.42s are plenty.

idk about brands...and 3.42s will get you slightly better fuel economy than 3.73s, which I just assume would be appreciated for a DD. My planned mods are pretty similar to yours, but i haven't done any research into gears yet.
